Description
"Black Family of Man," wooden sculpture by William Pucell, was completed 1979. The four carved heads are a man, woman, boy and girl with black hair and natural wood-color faces. Each is mounted on a black cylindrical base. The artist created the works from tree turnks found in a West Side dump. Building Status: Operational since 1981. Library service continued from previous location in rented space
