Description
Russell Wilfred Brown was born in Gray, Louisiana. He received his Doctor of Science degree in 1936 from Iowa State and was named to the faculty of Tuskegee Institute in 1937. Brown worked in a variety of roles in Tuskegee's administration, serving twice as Director of the Carver Research Foundation. During his career, Brown worked extensively in researvh on bacteriology, immunology, and HeLa cells. Although his research did not specifically lead to the
