Materials collected by Alfred Holt Stone (1870-1955), a lawyer and cotton planter in Mississippi, pertaining to the issues of race and slavery from the late eighteenth century to the early twentieth century. Includes correspondence, transcriptions of articles from antebellum newspapers, material from the Commission on Interracial Cooperation, magazine and newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and books.
