Holograph, signedTitle devised by catalogerManuscript annotated on recto, with "8" in pencil beneath Paton's salutation to GarrisonManuscript addressed on recto to "Mr Wm Lloyd Garrison Boston US"Andrew Paton writes William Lloyd Garrison appraising him of the happenings of their "Edin[burgh] friends", not desiring that Garrison show misconstrue what is transpiring. Paton sends to Garrison the Daily Mail of March 1st containing the letter of William Craft, and adds that Craft neglected to mention the founding of the Boston Vigilance Committee by members of the American Anti-Slavery Society. Paton states that he has read that the New York Vigilance Committee plans to hold a bazaar in Brooklyn, and advises Garrison to read Gerrit Smith's letters on the new society
