Handwritten copy of letter; not William Lloyd Garrison's handwriting. Whereabouts of original manuscript unknown.William Lloyd Garrison heard from Mr. Coffin regarding the preparation of an obituary for the late Mrs. Jacob Horton. Garrison praises her character and says about her: "Born under the same roof with Harriet, growing up with her from childhood, and for many years an inmate of her parents' family, she was almost like an own sister to me, and always treated me very much like a younger brother. ..."Merrill, Walter M.
