Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper. Below the first line, there is the number "55" written in pencil.Charles Turner Torrey writes to Amos A. Phelps in regards to the appointment of the State Central Committee. It was decided that there would be a State Central Committee in Boston and one in each county which would be selected by the main Committee in Boston. Amos A. Phelps was chosen as chairman of the Committee, in the hopes that he will "proceed immediately to fill out the commitees in the several counties, and advise with them when to call the county and district conventions to nominate senators and Representatitves to Congress."
