Marsha McDonald is a Jamaican immigrant currently residing in Brooklyn, N.Y. She emigrated from Kingston, Jamaica to Miami, FL at age 13 and later migrated to Brooklyn. She talks about the differences between Jamaica and America. She remembers picking bananas from the bush and speaks about neighbors helping one another. She talks about the difficulty of living in America and having to work hard for what you want. She remembers attending George Wingate High School and talks about helping others as a tutor and assisting the school guidance counselor. She discusses not regretting the decision to immigrate to America.
