Description

UndatedThis cranium fragment is from a solider of the American Civil War. He exhibited no symptoms after injury. The wound developed into a brain abscess and the soldier died 3 weeks after being shot. Inscription: in pencil on bottom of base: "Civil War / 4973 /12-3." Cranium fragment with bullet mounted on wooden base, painted black.
