Description

Photograph taken looking south at the east side of the 200 block South Bond between Pratt and Gough Streets in Baltimore, Maryland. These two- and three-story brick row houses were scheduled to be demolished as part of the Baltimore Housing Authority's slum clearance program (notices appear on every house). The only movement on the street is at the fourth house from the left; a lone African American woman is kneeling on the top step, scrubbing the vestibule of the house. Tracks for streetcars are embedded in the cobblestone roadway. (Waldeck photograph 87.)
