Description

Holograph, signed with initials.Anne Warren Weston begins the letter with family news. Anne has written an article for the Liberator in order to correct a "great mistake in Whittier's reasoning." In the last issue of the Recorder, there is a scandalous account of the manner in which the anti-slavery memorial was received by the first ecclesiastical body. This letter is written on the verso and margins of the leaflet, the "Address of the Boston Female Anti-Slavery Society to the Women of New England," and includes their petition to the House of Representatives and Senate to abolish slavery.
