Committee for Amnesty for All Objectors to War and Conscription

Description

"The report of the President's Amnesty Board is entirely devoid of statesmanship, justice, consistency, and vision." What has been enacted is not amnesty, but only individual pardons, with only 10% of Selective Service violators and less than a quarter of Jehovah's Witnesses pardoned. Objects to the distinction between religious objectors and those who object on an intellectual, political, or sociological grounds; no mention of religious objectors missing from the list or of "Negroes who could not conscientiously serve in the armed forces under conditions of segregation."
