In the interview, Ms. Hooper describes moving to Atlanta in the early 1960s, the gay culture in Atlanta, and gender discrimination for women in the workplace during the 1980s. She also provides some insight into how men and women interact within the gay community.Scotti Hooper, born in Moultrie, Georgia, in 1945 moved to Atlanta, Georgia as a young adult. She attended several private schools throughout the Southeast and began work as a graphic artist/commercial artist in the 1960s.
