Description

Holograph, signed.Caroline Weston discusses her school, the Chapman children, Henry G. Chapman's health and a long breathing tube designed to cure tuberculosis. She talks about a board meeting and a disagreement between Mrs. Lydia Maria Child and William L. Garrison. She mentions John A. Collins. She reports on family members and their activities. Caroline said: "Weld came to tell Henry about the earthquake" (which seems to have been in Haiti). Caroline Weston tells of the experiences of the ship "Dirago."There is cross-writing on the first three pages of this letter.
