Description
The 1946 Dodge County Extension Services annual report contains three documents; two copies of the Annual Report over 110 pages; two copies of the Combined Annual Report of County Extension Workers for 16 pages; and the Annual Report of County Farm Labor on four pages. The annual report includes Statistical Summary, Extension Office Staff, County Extension Organizations and Planning, Agricultural Program Planning, Crop Production, Livestock Production, Soil Management, Forestry and Windbreaks, Farm Management, Marketing and Distribution, Agricultural Engineering, Home Demonstration Organization, Neighborhood Leaders, Program of Work, Home Demonstration Work Questionnaire, 4-H Program Planning, Nutrition and Health, Housing, Clothing, Cooperation with Other Agencies, Radio/Talk, National Home Demonstration Week, Farm Bureau Short Course, Supplement, 4-H Club Creed, 4-H Enrollment, General 4-H Activities, Dodge County 4-H Leaders; Federation, Rural Youth Organization, Rodent Control, Parasite and Fly Control, Corn Borer, Weed Control, Assistance Rendered other Agencies, Other Activities. The report includes eight illustrated maps. Items of Interest include: Seed oats were treated in county for 122 farmers; Polio epidemic cancelled the county fair; Poultry Disease of pullorum was big issue; Grading of milk-committee to establish minimum standards; Hot lunch program in West Concord, Dodge Center and Mantorville schools. Dodge County rural youth reorganized to include all discharged veterans.
