Includes the Mims Family history. Don Mims was a teacher in the Los Angeles public school system. LeRoy Mims and his wife Rosebud owned a joint barber shop-beauty salon in Pasadena in 1959. The Mims family interview is included in parts 1-3, stops at 03:11 of part 3 and continues again on part 4. Includes the Ballard Family history and interview with Ora Ballard. The Ballard family is one of the pioneer families in Pasadena. They moved to Los Angeles in 1891 and to Pasadena soon after. They were very active in cultural and religious life in Pasadena. The interview is included on part 3 and begins at 05:00 and ends at 31:23.
