Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.At the top of the page, it says, "Subtance of Miss Estlin's reply to Mr. Chamerovzow" and the card catalog indicates it is a copy.Mary Estlin writes to Louis Alexander Chamerovzow regarding her lack of communication because of her father's ill health. She writes of his feeling in connection with the recent letter of Mr. Pillsbury published in the Liberator and believes the "A.S. cause is indebted to you for the moderation you show for the inclination to obstain from making any public reference to it." She writes her knowledge of this news. She responds to his remarks on the conference in Manchester and says, "it is merely an effort of some people to help the A.S. cause in their own way & I hope they will not enter at all into the subject of any differences of opinion with the New...Society." She adds that his fears will not be realized "that the Conference will not consist only of 'Garrisonians.'"
