Description

Lt. Frasier served in the 13th Tenn. Cav. Regt., USA from Carter County, Tenn. and wrote this account of Gen. Stoneman's raid in pursuit of a fleeing Jefferson Davis during April 1865. He describes Stoneman detaching the 13th Cav. "to cut the railroad at Wytheville, Va." then march to Salisbury, Morganton, Lenoir and Asheville and eventually on to Milledgeville, Ga. and South Carolina in pursuit of the fugitive ex-president of the Confederacy.
