Description
Image shows a man standing over the prone form of a baby. The man is wearing a turban and leopard skin and holds a scimitar. Outside the top of the main image is an adult vulture observing a young vulture sitting in a crown. Both images are surrounded by ivy. Near the bottom of the image, the ivy intertwines a broad sword and a scimitar on each side. The Caption reads, "Mr. Ira Aldridge as Aaron. "'He dies upon my scimetar's sharp point, That touches this my first-born son and heir!' Titus Andronicus. Act 4. Sc 2." Beneath the image proper are the words, "From a Daguerreotype by Paine of Islington. John Tallis & Company. London & New York."
