In addition, Jacobs was an organizer during the 1934 strike as well as serving as the Southern Regional Director for the United Textile Workers of America.Lucille Thornburgh was a textile worker and union organizer in Knoxville, Tenn.Thom Malcom is related to several textile workers from Opelika, Ala.
