Description

Holograph, signed.Parker Pillsbury says the Executive Committee wants him to visit the British Garrisonians before he goes to Paris. Pillsbury deplores the "present spirit and position of Frederick Douglass." He likens the defection of Douglass to that of Nathaniel P. Rogers. The results of the anti-slavery bazaar were up to expectations. He remembers a time when he and Lucy Stone were the only "field force" of lecturers. Pillsbury says: "I am not going to address many meetings at present, if any."Accompanied by an envelope addressed to: Mrs. Maria W. Chapman, No. 7 Rue de Monsieur, Paris.
