Washington and William Edward Burghardt Du Bois as documented in Crisis Magazine from 1910 to 1915. Crisis is the official monthly publication of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People which began in 1910 with Dr. Du Bois as its editor just after the Niagara Movement. The differences in the philosophies of the two 'race' men is easily recognized in selected editorials of Du Bois in Crisis during this five-year turbulent period ending with Washington's early death.
