Description
Holograph, signed.Richard Davis Webb presumably wrote this letter to Anne Warren Weston. Webb refers to Anne W. Weston's "white heat of anti-British enthusiasm." Webb does not think that "we are as bad or you are as good as you suppose." He blames the "unscrupulous newspaper editors." Webb is sending Anne W. Weston two copies of John Brown, that for Anne W. Weston is one of a small number printed on tinted paper "for presentation to particular friends of whom you are certainly one of those whom I value most."
