Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript contains a purple postmarked stamp that says "Garrison Mss."George Thompson writes to Richard Davis Webb in regards to the British Indian lectures. He writes about a pamphlet presented to him on the cultivation of cotton in India which will be published. He has delayed sending the introduction of the pamphlet which will be titled, "Lectures in India, by George Thompson." He writes that Lord Clifford would write on any Dublin Banker at his request. He writes, "I am very long on the Indian question just now, more particularly the subject of the Affghan[sic] War." In the postscript, he asks Webb to send him a proof both of "LL C's preface" and suggests putting the price before the title in the binding. Parker will send the sheet of Brigg's pamphlet on Monday.
