Francis Jackson was the son of Major Timothy Jackson and Sarah Winchester, one of his siblings was William Jackson. He married Eliza Copeland, daughter of Samuel Copeland and Ruth Whitmarsh. Francis was an abolitionist in Boston, Mass., he was affiliated with the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society, Boston Female Anti-Slavery Society, American Anti-Slavery Society, and Boston Vigilance Committee.
