Description
Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.The folder also includes a stamped envelope that is addressed to "William Loyd Garrison Esqr. care of William Smeal Esqr. Monteith Row Glasgow." It includes two red half-penny, "Halfpenny Rose Red," stamps featuring Queen Victoria and it is postmarked with a black circular stamp reading, "Dundee Jy 30 77".Edward Parker writes to William Lloyd Garrison providing instructions for Garrison and his son, Francis Jackson Garrison, to visit his home. He tells them if they are coming from "Edinboro" to take the North British Railway to Tayport "where Mrs. Parker will meet you - it will save you crossing the River Tay twice." If they are coming "from the Highlands by way of Perth" he says they will meet them "at the Dundee side should you come by the Caledonian Railway." In the postscript, Parker states "There will be time to see the Tay Bridge of Tuesday morning."
