Council of Federated Organizations (U.S.). Panola County Office (Miss.)
Description
This folder consists primarily of detailed reports from community centers about their activities throughout Mississippi during Freedom Summer. A memo from Annell Ponder about how to engage adults in community centers is particularly interesting. As soon as community centers were started, it appears, the dire needs of local blacks for food, health care, clothing, and jobs became dominant.
