Description

William Walker with his wife and Japan Airline stewardess Mitsako Awashima (center). The one-month tour was a personal vacation, but Walker expected to study poverty programs in the far east and investigate integration of Vietnam war serviceman in rehabilitation centers. William Otis Walker (1896-1981) was editor and publisher of the Cleveland Call and Post. He served on Cleveland City Council, and helped found The Future Outlook League. In 1963 he became Director of the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations.
