Description

A black and white photograph that depicts soldiers from the 3rd Battalion, 366th Infantry, 92nd Division, participating in a gas mask drill. The soldiers are standing, running, and kneeling as puffs of gas fill the air. A large tent stands on the right side of the photo and in the background are rows of smaller triangle tents. The Signal Corps USA logo is in the bottom left of the photograph. The number: [25929] is written next to the logo. The words: [3d Bn. 366 Inf. - 92nd Div. at Gas Mask drill - Ainvelle, Vosges, France - Aug 8, 1918.] are written at the bottom inside the white border. The border on the right edge of the photograph is discolored. The back of the photograph is blank.
