"This certifies that Gladys L'Agreese Brown having completed the General Course of Study prescribed by the Booker T. Washington High School of this City and sustained a correct moral deportment, is entitled to this testimonial the highest honor in our power to bestow. She leaves the School with the respect and confidence of the Board and Instructors, and their best wishes for her success. The Testimony Whereof, the President and secretary of the Board of Education, the Superintendent of the Public Schools and the Principal have affixed their signature at Memphis, Tennessee, the 2nd day of June 1930."
