Addressed from 5 Gray Street, Edinburgh.Envelope is addressed to 21 Cornhill, Boston, and includes original postage stamp.Holograph, signed.In a note on the inner flap of the envelope, Miss Wigham apologizes for her "poor" note.May's handwriting on the envelope reads, "Rec'd June 16 / 59. Ans'd [June] 30 [59] (in part)."Title supplied by cataloger.Miss Wigham orders two subscriptions to the "National Anti-Slavery Standard." She acknowledges receipt of certain tracts, gives an account of a pro-slavery speech by Dr. Monod, and refers to Harriet Beecher Stowe.
