Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Elizur Wright Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps regarding his agreement with Phelps on his beliefs of duty in regard to the "Union." He writes that the executive committee has received his letter and advises him "to locate your family with a view to laboring in Connecticut and Rhode Island soon after the Anniversary till those states are thoroughly ploughed. The committee are I think unanimously of the opinion that the course regions that you and Thompson should visit our principal interior towns, in this state, before the Anniversary." He writes of reports from other parts of the country concerning abolitionism.
