Mrs. Erctfa Obnes off Cherokee, who went to Dei Moinls last week to work temporarily al a fitter at the Fort Des Moines ftVAAC center, fitted the first wfcman to apply for her uniform, |he reported on her return this week. The first WAAC was Mary Bordeaux, a Louisville, Ky., negro. In the line of women waiting to be fitted were candidates from Buffalo, N. Y.; Akron, O.; Louisville, Ky.; San Francisco, Calif.; Portland, Ore.; Baltimore, Md.; Hollywood, Calif., and many other places throughout the United States. WAACs do not lack for clothing, Mrs. Jones found. Issued to each were the following items: Five shirts, three skirts, four pairs rayon hose, four pairs cotton hose, six panties, three brassieres, one raincoat, two girdles, two anklets, one khaki jacket, one pair slippers, two pairs shoes, one pair athletic shoes, one bathrobe, one exercise suit, two pajamas, one khaki cap, one hat, one p
