Part 2 of an oral history interview with Edythe Prudence Holland Jones, an African-American woman who recounts her experiences of the U Street neighborhood, African-American life in DC, and music and theater performances she saw from the time she moved to DC in high school. In particular, she tells of seeing Marion Anderson's concert at the Lincoln Memorial in 1939.Edythe Prudence Holland Jones moved to DC to attend high school but soon left school to work.
