Miss Wigham discusses the contributions to the anti-slavery bazaar. On a clipping about an upcoming "Free Labour Bazaar" in London "to extend the use of free labour cotton goods, with a view to the discouragement of slavery in the American States," Miss Wigham informs May that Harriet Martineau is gravely ill.
