Schuyler congratulates Du Bois on his "recent drubbing of the Communists and their tactics in the Crisis;" Schuyler reminds Du Bois he has been "attacking the tactics of the Communists in dealing with the Negro question for many years;" and still believes that communists are "a menace to the Negro;" Schuyler argues that the Communists "are making the Negro the goat, and the quicker Negroes find that out the better off they will be."
