Description

A new Roy Wilkins Auditorium is being discussed. The new auditorium would be featuring trade shows and musical acts, but it would also have a new Civil Rights museum. Wilkins moved to Minnesota in 1905 and he graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1923. Wilkins was a Civil Rights activist and the museum would be appropriate. Singer and activist Harry Belafonte describes the working relationship he had with Wilkins.
