In this clip Topper Carew interviews filmmaker, playwright, and musician Melvin Van Peebles about his motivation to create movies and plays. Overall the program consists of two interviews: one with filmmaker, playwright, and musician Melvin Van Peebles, the second with comedian, nutritionist, civil rights activist, and author Dick Gregory, at Boston University. Program includes excerpts from Van Peebles's appearance at "Estelle's" nightclub in Boston, where he performed his songs "There," "Birth Certificate," and "Eyes of a Rabbit."
