Scholarship, Education and Defense Fund for Racial Equality

Description

This folder starts with Michael Schwerner's CORE application and written references and is followed by newspaper clippings, telegrams, and press releases about the missing civil rights workers, their funerals, the identification of the three men's killers, and scholarships and community centers established in their names. A special issue of Ramparts magazine, Mississippi Eyewitness, on the murder of the three civil rights workers finishes it up.
