Holograph.Title devised by cataloger.In this letter to William Lloyd Garrison, the unknown author invites Garrison "to deliver one of a series of 12 lectures in this place, at any time that will suit you, after the middle of January next." They guarantee each lecturer between $40 and $50 and they ask Garrison to respond and tell them what dates he could come. The author also requests Garrison's help in securing Wendell Phillips and Theodore Parker to speak in Norristown by forwarding them enclosed letters [not included]. The author suggests that Garrison "remind them especially that this beautiful spot was the only one for years after the burning of 'Pennsylvania Hall' by Mayor Swift & his friends, where Anti-Slavery could life up its voice in Eastern P[ennsylvani]a."
