Drake, Frances H

Description

Holograph, signed.Mrs. Frances H. Drake assures Anne Warren Weston that she does not "need to be warned of my duty to the cause." The fact is that this year Frances H. Drake was too poor to give a cent. The ladies in town do not choose to work for the anti-slavery fair. With the means provided by friends, Drake will, however, cook something for the refreshment room. Also, she has gathered greenery in the woods for the decoration of the fair hall. Drake requests that her donations are called for at the depot. Drake says: "I will bear in mind the Doughnuts."
