Two of Frank Morton's daughters, Vera Sharpley and Rosie Beasley, talk about their brother Albert and sister Maude working for the Crofts at Grassmere. They also mention women who cooked and cleaned for the family before Albert and Maude.Frank Morton (1874-1962) came to work at Grassmere in 1919. He married Agnes Smith (app. 1874-1930) around 1895, and they raised their nine children together while they lived in a cabin on the property. Frank worked as a farm laborer on the site until his death. Albert Morton (1913-1973) was the fifth child of Frank and Agnes Morton. He lived on the property and worked for the Croft sisters after his father passed away.
