Description

Telegram from 25,000 workers and 1,000 visitors of Rote Hilfe Schweiz (Red Aid in Switzerland) protesting "the death of those Negro boys." This telegrams protests their deaths following the 1931 stay of execution pending appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court. Rote Hilfe (International Red Aid) was an international social service organization established by the Communist International in 1922 to function as an international political Red Cross.
