The Beardens visited the Neighborhood Arts Center March 22-23, 1978 to attend opening events for an exhibit of Bearden's art at the center. On March 22, Bearden spoke to the Neighborhood Arts Center staff about his work. The next day, around 600 people attended the opening reception for the exhibit.Title provided by Jim Alexander.
