Description
Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Letter addressed from Anti-Slavery Office.Johnson conveys his presumption that Garrison will be bringing Yerrinton to cover the proceedings at the anniversary meeting. Johnson reports that Mr. Lazar will be making arrangements to ensure music for the meeting, and that he himself will select the hymns. Johnson states that Anna Dickinson will be delivering a eulogy for Abraham Lincoln the day following the meeting, and remarks that the President's death is creating influence for those in the American Anti-Slavery Society who call for its dissolution. Johnson closes by remarking that Dr. James McCune Smith launched a "vile attack" on Garrison in the Anglo-American.
