Description
Harvey Gantt delivers a campaign speech at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport in Charlotte. Gantt tells the crowd that he is happy to be home, and that \we're going to win because our issues are right.\ Gantt says that he cares about children and will fund Head Start, support public schools, work with Jim Hunt to get better pay for teachers, and support student loans and grants. He also says that he will be there for seniors, won't vote to cut Medicare or give a tax break to the wealthy, supports equal pay for equal work, the minimum wage, and protecting the environment. Gantt encourages the audience to participate in the election, and they chant. Recording concludes with music.
