Holograph, signedWilliam Lloyd Garrison was gratified by a visit from William M. Chace. Despite the large fire in Boston the night of his 4th of July address, Garrison drew a respectable size audience. The Rev. Joshua N. Danforth spoke on behalf of the Colonization Society in Dr. Beecher's church. A. Buffum is touring New England as an agent for the New England Anti-Slavery Society.
