In this series of WSB-TV newsfilm clip, probably from March 3, 1969, unidentified white men hold what are probably stolen firearms, and a black male member of the Black Muslim movement speaks with an unidentified reporter about rumors of a bid by Black Muslims on these firearms, and about the movement's position nonviolence more generally.The first clip shows an unidentified white man placing a firearm on a table covered with a number of further firearms, with unidentified white men in the background. The next clip shows four unidentified white men, some of whom are handling firearms. The next clips show more firearms. These are probably all firearms that were stolen from Marietta in February 1969 and later seized in Atlanta.In the next clip, an unidentified black man says, "Anyone who accuses us of having made a bid on any guns, stolen or otherwise, is guilty of telling a bald-faced lie. It's well-known, it's common knowledge, that we do not carry weapons. We have no use for weapons. Even Time magazine this week has pointed out that the violent image that's been projected of us is false, and as we have pointed out many times, even the Boy Scouts carry more weapons than we do, 'cause at least they have hatchets and hunting knives."In the next clip, an unidentified white reporter asks, "Are the Muslims basically a nonviolent group?"In the next clip, the unidentified black man answers, "Well, we don't like tags. Let's just say that we do not believe in...
