Description
Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Samuel May Jr. relates Richard D. Webb’s account of George Thompson’s activities in Dublin and England, as well as his character. May quotes Webb saying that the public debate between George Thompson and Frederick Douglass was “the most complete expose of Douglass’s real character, … malignity, and unscrupulousness.” May suggests that the Executive Committee of the American Anti-Slavery Society consider giving Thompson an appointment as its representative in England.
