Description

Coll. by Brother Charles Cole M.C. Parler Long Grove Negro Baptist Church Patterson, Ark. Oct. 25, 1953 Reel 166 Item 1 Pastor's Introduction of the Field Worker (conclusion) (While I was changing reels, Brother Cole explained quite well what I had been doing at the services of the day. I finally picked him as he was saying:) .....as it relates to American civilization, Now, of you all, if you'd a known that you'd a put on airs. That's why I didn't tell you. But I tell you this, it pays you to be yo' best 'cause you don't know who is amongst you. It is my pleasure to present to you Mrs. Parker, the representative of the University of Arkansas, who is among us at this time. I want you to meet and hear her, who have taken so much interest in our services today. And some of you already know who she was and some of you don't. I want you to meet her.
