A Letter and the Answer

View
@ Brigham Young University

Description

Upset that his latest letter to the Boston Investigator was not published in full because of its personal manner of discussion of certain Mormons, Henry Rowe writes in to question this decision and to explain that by mentioning specific individuals he only hoped to prevent others from being deluded. The editors respond they did not publish Rowe’s letter because it was “very indecent” and was too abusive. They maintain that their paper seeks to protect the rights of people of all religions rather than to persecute them.
